About the Artist
Ukrainian-Canadian composer, accordionist, and pianist, Taras Luka is an award-winning artist whose music has been performed on major stages across Europe and North America. His work Choral of Freedom premiered at historic theatres in Italy as part of the international Concerto per la Pace initiative with the Italian Red Cross.
He is the composer of acclaimed musicals and theatrical productions including Romeo & Juliet, Heart in Half, and In Captivity, earning nominations for Ukraine’s top music and theatre awards. His works have received multiple international festival awards and have been presented in leading concert halls across Europe.
Taras continues to tour internationally, presenting Ukrainian music worldwide. His projects and performances have been featured by major media outlets including CBC, La Repubblica, Rai News, ANSA, and the Vancouver Sun.
