About the event

Join us for another evening of Poetry Night, where we explore the experience of poetry in migration through the lenses of language, identity, and psychology. Together, we’ll reflect on how a new geography reshapes poetic expression, the role of one’s mother tongue and second language in literary creation, and the emotional landscapes of nostalgia, exile, loneliness, and belonging.

Hosted by Fatemeh Rahimi, the evening features poet, writer, and psychoanalyst Hossein Haji Ghafari, who will lead a conversation on the relationship between poetry and the inner world. Through discussion and shared readings, we’ll explore how poetry can become a language for expressing deep emotions and lived experiences, offering a path toward understanding ourselves and our inner worlds.

Following the poetry gathering, we will present a special screening of Risk of Acid Rain, directed by Behtash Sanaeeha, the acclaimed co-director of My Favourite Cake.

شب شعر فارسی

در این نشست، به تجربهٔ شعر در مهاجرت از منظر زبان، هویت و روان خواهیم پرداخت؛ از تأثیر جغرافیای جدید بر جهان شعری تا نقش زبان مادری و زبان دوم در آفرینش ادبی.

همچنین دربارهٔ مفاهیمی چون نوستالژی، تنهایی، غربت، تعلق و مخاطب شعر در تبعید گفت‌وگو خواهیم کرد و به این پرسش می‌پردازیم که چگونه تجربهٔ مهاجرت، زبان و نگاه شاعر را دگرگون می‌کند.

با حضور حسین حاجی غفاری، شاعر، نویسنده و روانکاو، این نشست نگاهی به پیوند میان روان و شعر خواهد داشت و بررسی می‌کند که چگونه شعر می‌تواند زبانی برای بیان احساسات عمیق، حافظه، رنج، امید و تجربه‌های زیسته باشد و راهی به جهان درونی انسان بگشاید.

در ادامهٔ برنامه، فیلم «احتمال باران اسیدی» ساختهٔ بهتاش صناعی‌ها، کارگردان فیلم تحسین‌شدهٔ «کیک محبوب من»، به نمایش درخواهد آمد.
