In Blank, filmmaker Amirnaeim Hosseini revisits the legacy of Abbas Kiarostami’s groundbreaking 1987 documentary Homework. Filmed at Shahid Masumi School, where Kiarostami once explored the relationship between children and their homework, Blank provides a contemporary lens on the same subject two decades later.

Blank delves into the profound societal and cultural shifts that have shaped a new generation of students. Through intimate interviews and candid observations, Hosseini captures the evolving dynamics of education, youth identity, and societal pressures.

This thought-provoking documentary offers a rare glimpse into how time, culture, and education intersect, creating an emotional and visually compelling narrative that resonates far beyond the classroom.
