From the Red Platform (Du Rocher Rouge) is a poetic and intimate portrait of one of Iran’s most iconic literary voices—Yadollah Royaee. Directed by Pouya Parsamagham, this documentary delves into the life, legacy, and unique linguistic style of the late poet, whose groundbreaking work redefined Persian modernism.

Royaee, known as the father of “Espacementalisme,” developed a distinctive poetic form that fused image, rhythm, and philosophy. In this visually rich and emotionally resonant film, Parsamagham captures not only Royaee’s literary journey, but also his reflections on exile, identity, and the role of poetry in turbulent times.
