Voice in Performance is a 4-hour immersive workshop designed for anyone interested in exploring dramatic reading, theatre, and vocal storytelling. Participants will learn techniques to connect their inner voice with physical expression, bringing written words to life through sound, rhythm, and emotion. The workshop culminates in a group stage reading, giving participants the chance to perform in a supportive and inspiring setting at Zameen Art House.

Workshop Syllabus

Hour 1 – Awakening the Voice

• Breathing techniques and body awareness

• Warming up the vocal range and articulation

• Exploring tone, resonance, and projection

Hour 2 – The Speaking Body

• Movement and posture in performance

• Connecting voice and emotion

• Physical storytelling exercises

Hour 3 – Reading the Text

• Understanding rhythm, phrasing, and pacing

• Interpreting characters and subtext

• Collaborative scene and script practice

Hour 4 – On Stage

• Rehearsal and feedback

• Ensemble preparation

• Final drama reading performance on stage
