As immigrants, we know what it means to leave everything behind and start over, but even so, nobody is ever fully prepared to watch their life transform in a new land.
The exhibition
Created with the Colombian Canadian Association of BC, Where We Begin, How We Are is a photographic record of the Colombian community in British Columbia. Next to each portrait is that person’s own story of arriving, starting over and building a life here.
