About the Event

Join us for a special edition of Persian Poetry Night honoring the life and literary legacy of Ahmadreza Ahmadi (1940–2023), one of the pioneering voices of Iran’s New Wave (Moj-e No) poetry movement.

This commemorative evening celebrates Ahmadi’s remarkable contribution to contemporary Persian literature and his influence across poetry, music, theatre, cinema, and children’s literature. Through poetry readings and conversation, we will revisit his unique poetic world and enduring artistic legacy.

Following the poetry gathering, we will screen the documentary A Good Time for Tragedy (وقت خوب مصائب), directed by Nasser Saffarian, a film dedicated to the life and work of Ahmadreza Ahmadi.
