About the event
The Rochelle Wright Trio is a Saskatchewan-based jazz group that draws inspiration from the rich tradition of the great jazz piano trios. Comprised of some of Saskatoon’s most exciting young jazz artists, the ensemble brings together technical excellence, musical curiosity, and a deep appreciation for the art of improvisation.
Led by pianist Rochelle Wright, whose thoughtful arrangements and expressive artistry shape the group’s distinctive sound, the trio performs a vibrant mix of animated jazz standards and original compositions. Joined by Ronin Sawitsky on bass and Max Agnew on drums, the group creates an engaging musical dialogue that is both rooted in tradition and alive with contemporary energy.
