Join us for an engaging, music-infused workshop led by Canadian expat and Tehran resident Aref Mirbaghi, alongside his talented bandmates Kaveh Ghaffari and Farhad Asadi. This unique session combines storytelling and live performance to shed light on the vibrant yet challenging independent music scene in Tehran.

Discover Aref’s personal journey of adapting to life in Iran, navigating cultural shocks, and building a connection with local musicians. Through humorous anecdotes and compelling narratives, he paints a vivid picture of the trials, triumphs, and creative resilience of artists in Tehran. Whether you’re an Iranian curious about the current music scene or simply a music lover eager to learn about an extraordinary culture, this workshop promises to be both entertaining and eye-opening.

Mingling Session(5:00pm – 6:30pm)

Between the workshop and the performance, join us for an informal 90-minute mingling session. This is a great opportunity to connect with the artists, ask questions, and meet fellow attendees. Whether you’re curious about the music, the stories, or the creative process, this relaxed social gathering is the perfect bridge between the two events.
